Responsibilities
- Support the ongoing development, maintenance, and enhancement of the Centre 360 public reservation platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during routine and peak reservation periods.
- Develop new features and functionality based on business needs and visitor feedback.
- Write scalable code and conduct peer code reviews.
- Collaborate with senior developers, QA, and business analysts to design, test, and deploy updates.
- Contribute to API development and integration with City systems and services.
- Support reservation, scheduling, and capacity-management functionality.
- Assist with data migration, reporting, and dashboard development.
- Help maintain system security and compliance with internal IT and OTI standards.
- Maintain documentation for system architecture, configuration, and development processes.
- Provide development support and coverage for other critical citywide systems as needed.
Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in computer science or a related computer field and two years of satisfactory full-time software experience, including one year as a project leader or major contributor on a complex project.
- Alternatively, a four-year high school diploma or equivalent and six years of satisfactory full-time software experience, including one year as a project leader or major contributor on a complex project.
- A satisfactory combination of education and experience may qualify; college education and a master's degree may substitute for specified experience.
- All candidates must have a four-year high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of satisfactory full-time software experience as a project leader or major contributor on a complex project.
- Experience must be in software design, programming, debugging, maintenance, implementation, enhancement, systems programming, systems analysis and design, data communication software, or database design and programming.
- Experience in computer operations, technical support, quality assurance, hardware installation, help desk, or end-user work does not satisfy the minimum qualifications.
- Only permanent Computer Specialist (Software) employees, employees in comparable titles, and candidates reachable on the civil service list are eligible to apply.
