Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise-level Android SDKs using Kotlin and the Android platform.
- Design Android payment features, secure data flows, and integrations with novel payment methods.
- Participate in architecture, code reviews, design reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Build and maintain comprehensive automated unit and integration tests.
- Collaborate with engineers, product designers, and business stakeholders on cross-functional initiatives.
- Mentor and grow other engineers through reviews and hands-on debugging.
- Investigate new technical possibilities while working within existing frameworks.
Requirements
- Experience writing Kotlin code and building software for Android.
- Experience developing enterprise-level SDKs and libraries used by other engineers.
- Expert-level knowledge of Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and Gradle.
- Experience writing and maintaining automated unit and integration tests.
- Ability to debug Android applications and solve technical problems effectively.
- Ability and desire to mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and debugging.
- Strong technical, creative problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of security best practices and standards is useful.
- Experience with Bluetooth-connected devices or the payments industry is useful.
