Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain foundational Android applications that support reliable payment experiences across terminals and consumer devices.
- Write reliable, clear, and maintainable code using Kotlin and the Android SDK.
- Debug and solve problems within Android applications and collaborate on cross-functional technical issues.
- Work with engineers, product designers, business stakeholders, and internal and external partners.
- Contribute to payment terminal user interfaces, firmware quality, and payment terminal integrations.
- Investigate new technical possibilities and propose improvements to the solution.
Requirements
- Strong grasp of native Android application development.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and the Android SDK.
- Experience with modern Android architecture, including dependency injection using tools such as Hilt or Dagger.
- Experience with asynchronous programming using Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with AOSP or building system-level applications is nice to have.
- Knowledge of security best practices is nice to have.
- Experience with CI/CD and automated testing frameworks is nice to have.
