Responsibilities
- Design and evolve enterprise-scale CI/CD platforms supporting multi-team and multi-environment software delivery.
- Build self-service developer platforms, infrastructure provisioning automation, deployment workflows, secrets management, and internal platform services.
- Develop GitOps and infrastructure-as-code patterns using cloud-native technologies and improve platform reliability, consistency, and governance.
- Implement software supply chain security controls including artifact management, vulnerability scanning, policy enforcement, workload identity, image signing, and secure deployments.
- Define governance standards for pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, access management, and cloud resource utilization.
- Drive observability and operational excellence through metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, and SLO-based monitoring.
- Partner with application and reliability engineering teams to improve deployment reliability, release velocity, and incident response.
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives, evaluate emerging Kubernetes and platform technologies, and guide adoption of architectural improvements.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, influence technical standards, and create High-Level Design and Data Flow Diagram documentation.
- Promote AI-driven development practices and tools such as GitHub Copilot.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure engineering roles.
- Strong software development background in Go, Python, or similar languages, focused on maintainable and secure automation systems.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, cloud-native infrastructure, and CI/CD platforms at scale.
- Strong expertise with AWS services including EC2, IAM, VPC, Route 53, S3, CloudWatch, ECR, Lambda, and managed Kubernetes services.
- Extensive experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Helm, CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, policy enforcement, and least-privilege access controls.
- Strong troubleshooting and operational skills across Linux systems, networking, containers, and distributed systems.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Buildkite or GitLab CI, and artifact management platforms such as JFrog Artifactory.
- Experience managing artifact registries and their lifecycle, including governance, retention, replication, and security controls.
- Experience implementing software supply chain security and compliance controls including SBOM, image signing, and vulnerability management.
- Experience operating and securing Linux-based systems including Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, or Docker/container-optimized operating systems.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives, influence engineering standards, collaborate across teams, document architecture, and mentor engineers.
- Experience designing internal developer platforms such as Backstage, reusable automation frameworks, and self-service infrastructure capabilities.
- Familiarity with multi-tenant platform architectures, developer experience optimization, and large-scale platform standardization.
- Bazel understanding and experience is strongly preferred.
