Responsibilities
- Partner with engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
- Build foundation model training, large language model inference, similarity search, guardrails, model evaluation, experimentation, governance, and observability capabilities.
- Develop LLM optimization techniques that improve scalability, cost, latency, throughput, and hardware utilization.
- Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap for foundational AI systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus at least three years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies, or a relevant master’s degree plus at least one year of such experience.
- At least three years of programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
- Strong engineering, mathematics, hardware, software, and AI foundations.
- Ability to understand scientific publications and apply novel techniques in production.
- Preferred: four years of experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms.
- Preferred: experience developing, delivering, and supporting AI services.
- Preferred: experience with AI and ML algorithms or technologies including LLM inference, similarity search, vector databases, guardrails, and memory.
- Preferred: experience optimizing training and inference software for hardware utilization, latency, throughput, and cost.
