Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve scalable, maintainable, secure software solutions.
- Develop Java and Spring Boot microservices, APIs, and distributed system integrations.
- Implement asynchronous and event-driven processing using Kafka and IBM MQ.
- Build REST-based service-to-service integrations and optimize Oracle and MongoDB database interactions.
- Apply design patterns, unit testing, observability, fault tolerance, resilience, and performance-tuning practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, participate in code reviews, share technical knowledge, and guide team members.
- Manage risks and controls, contribute to policies and procedures, and support operational effectiveness.
- Communicate complex technical information and influence stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Java 21+ and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing scalable microservices, API designs, security controls, resilience patterns, and performance optimizations.
- Deep knowledge of Kafka and IBM MQ, including event-driven architecture, message design, delivery guarantees, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with REST integrations using RestTemplate or WebClient and distributed system architecture.
- Experience with Oracle and MongoDB, including query optimization, transaction management, and microservice integration.
- Strong understanding of design patterns and engineering best practices for scalable, resilient, asynchronous systems.
- Knowledge or practical experience with agentic AI, AI-assisted development tools, or automation frameworks is valued.
- Experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS, including cloud-native architecture, containerization, and managed services, is valued.
- Payments processing domain knowledge, including payment lifecycles, messaging standards, reconciliation, fraud controls, and regulatory considerations, is valued.
