Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction and backend architecture of Free’s subscriber information system.
- Develop hands-on in Python across subscription, billing, digital services, mobile sales, and fiber connection processes.
- Guide the team in designing a resilient, scalable, high-performance distributed system.
- Introduce development practices that improve resilience, quality, testability, and delivery velocity.
- Help establish robust production operations, including observability, alerting, performance, and scalability practices.
- Support a development model in which teams operate their own solutions in production.
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of Python engineering experience in critical environments requiring optimization, scalability, and high performance.
- Strong experience with Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, SQL, distributed systems, Linux, and Docker.
- Knowledge of high-performance and highly available systems, observability, alerting, Grafana, testing, and production deployment practices such as canarying.
- Understanding of security by design and familiarity with cloud environments and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with a data bus such as Kafka is optional.
- Frontend development experience with React is optional.
