Base Salary
$220k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design strategies for enterprise databases and data warehouse systems.
- Set standards for database operations, programming, and security.
- Model, design, and construct large relational databases or data warehouses.
- Create and optimize data models for warehouse infrastructure.
- Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structures.
- Build scalable data platforms and pipelines.
- Architect workflows that could become industry standards.
- Build, scale, and optimize ETL pipelines.
- Design data warehouse schemas for significant data growth.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security.
- Own the ETL workflows and maintain data quality.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Analytics, and DevOps teams.
- Transform data into governed datasets and deploy data pipelines.
- Work with stakeholders to provide business insights.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information/Systems Engineering, or related field.
- 4 years of experience in software/data engineering.
- Experience with AWS technologies like AWS Glue, PySpark, and AWS EMR.
- Knowledge of modern Data Engineering concepts and data lakes using AWS.
- Experience with ETL processes for structured and semi-structured data.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow and shell scripting.
- 1 year of experience with data warehousing concepts and MPP databases.
- Proficiency in Data Modeling concepts and tools like Lucid Chart.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
- Experience with Python scripting and libraries like NumPy and Pandas.
- Knowledge of Data Visualization tools such as AWS Quicksight and Tableau.
