Responsibilities

  • Write, optimize, debug, and tune complex T-SQL stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and queries.
  • Design database tables, relationships, constraints, and new database modules, including work with tables containing more than 10 million rows.
  • Use execution plans, indexes, and DMVs to diagnose and improve SQL Server performance.
  • Perform data migration, cleansing, and bulk operations using SSIS packages.
  • Troubleshoot production deadlocks, blocking, timeouts, and other data and performance issues.
  • Maintain and enhance Classic ASP, VB.NET, and VB6 applications and develop features in C# and .NET.
  • Create and modify SSRS reports, including datasets, parameters, subscriptions, and drill-down reports.
  • Build user interfaces with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
  • Deploy database objects and application code using SQL scripts, TFS, Azure DevOps, and Git.
  • Support UAT, provide data extracts, resolve production data issues, and document stored procedures, schemas, and report logic.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • The posting states 3 to 7 years of experience in the role summary and 5 to 8 years of related experience in the qualifications section.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server 2014 or later.
  • Strong advanced T-SQL skills, including joins, CTEs, window functions, temporary tables, dynamic SQL, and error handling.
  • Ability to read execution plans, create covering indexes, avoid cursors, and reduce scans.
  • Experience building or modifying SSIS packages and SSRS paginated reports, plus knowledge of SQL Agent jobs.
  • Knowledge of CRUD operations, schema design, constraints, and transactions.
  • Ability to read and modify Classic ASP, VB, VB.NET, and VB6 code and fix bugs or add small features.
  • Ability to write C# .NET console applications, APIs, or web forms and understand object-oriented programming, ADO.NET, and basic LINQ.
  • JavaScript and jQuery experience with DOM manipulation, AJAX calls, form validation, and JSON handling.
  • HTML and CSS skills for creating tables, forms, and basic responsive layouts.
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, IIS basics, and TFS or Git.
  • Willingness to meet applicable gaming or lottery licensing, background investigation, security-check, and regulatory requirements.
