Responsibilities
- Define and own target-state hybrid-cloud architecture across public cloud, private cloud, and on-premise environments.
- Lead architecture design for compute, storage, networking, landing zones, containerization, and platform services.
- Embed RBAC, identity governance, least-privilege design, information security, data protection, and public sector compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain an objective-led hybrid-cloud modernization roadmap aligned with broader digital and technology strategy.
- Present and defend architecture designs through Architecture Review Boards, Design Authorities, and technical governance forums.
- Translate strategic objectives into delivery tasks and track roadmap progress while resolving risks, dependencies, and blockers.
- Collaborate with security, data, business architecture, delivery, operations, governance, and client stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of enterprise or solution architecture experience, including significant hybrid and core cloud architecture experience.
- Experience operating at Associate Director or senior architect level in a consulting or systems integrator environment.
- Deep knowledge of at least one major hyperscaler: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proven experience designing hybrid connectivity patterns, landing zones, and core cloud building blocks such as compute, storage, and networking.
- Hands-on understanding of Docker and Kubernetes in cloud-native and hybrid architectures.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security concepts, RBAC, identity governance, least-privilege design, and business, data/information, and security architecture principles.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills and experience with formal governance and design assurance processes.
- Public sector experience and familiarity with government cloud policy and security classifications are preferred.
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification is preferred.
- Architect-level AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications are preferred.
- Container platform certifications such as CKA or hands-on Kubernetes delivery experience are preferred.
- Experience with FinOps, sustainability, or platform engineering initiatives is preferred.
