Base Salary

$140k - $160k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical testing approach, strategy, risk-based coverage, and execution for instrument software systems.
  • Author, execute, and verify test plans and test cases against documented software requirements.
  • Design automation-ready test cases, collaborate on test-script implementation, execute automated tests, and troubleshoot test frameworks.
  • Lead hands-on testing of medical instrument software involving cloud and connectivity integrations with internal and third-party teams.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, regulatory, project management, and other stakeholders on verification, design controls, documentation, planning, and risk identification.
  • Provide level-of-effort estimates, technical input, and sequencing for software testing work.
  • Support compliance with the QuidelOrtho Quality Management System and applicable FDA, ISO, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years of software testing experience.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
  • Experience testing embedded software and Linux-based environments.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test systems using tools such as Squish and Robot Framework.
  • Experience planning, writing, and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Experience estimating, planning, and sequencing software testing work.
  • Effective communication and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience working on a development team using Agile processes.
  • Commitment to quality management and applicable ISO, FDA, and regulatory requirements.
  • Preferred: familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, software design controls, Qt and QML application testing with Squish, GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools, and AI-assisted software testing tools.
