Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance Java-based HPC cluster scheduling and control systems.
- Ensure the high availability, reliability, and scalability of HPC resources.
- Maintain monitoring systems for infrastructure and client job submissions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on resource allocation and business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance across on-premises and Azure-augmented environments.
- Develop a deep understanding of the existing codebase and propose technical improvements.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Strong core and enterprise-level Java development expertise.
- Experience with distributed systems and distributed execution engines.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, ActiveMQ, front-end web technologies, and Python for APIs and tooling.
- Familiarity with Azure Portal, Azure SDK for Java, and Red Hat Linux.
- Understanding of banking systems and regulatory requirements.
- Fluent English; German is a plus.
- Scala, C++, Kubernetes, and Java multithreaded development expertise are bonus qualifications.
- Ability to design and develop collaboratively, conduct effective code reviews, and deliver technical changes to completion.
- Ability to work systematically in a fast-paced agile environment with minimal direction.
