Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java-based HPC cluster scheduling and control systems.
- Ensure high availability and reliability for mission-critical HPC resources.
- Maintain and improve monitoring systems for infrastructure and client job submissions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to balance resource allocation with business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance across on-premises and Microsoft Azure environments.
- Maintain legacy web interfaces and support APIs and tooling written in Java and Python.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in multithreaded Java development at core and enterprise levels.
- Experience with distributed execution engines, NoSQL databases, and ActiveMQ messaging.
- Experience with legacy front-end web technologies and Python for APIs and tooling.
- Familiarity with Azure Portal, Azure SDK for Java, and Red Hat Linux.
- Understanding of banking systems and regulatory requirements.
- Fluent English is required; German is a plus.
- Scala, C++, and Kubernetes experience are bonus qualifications.
