Base Salary
$179k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Deliver robust cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Use modern programming languages, databases, containers, orchestration services, and AWS tools.
- Provide technical leadership across teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Refactor systems, reduce technical debt, and improve performance.
- Influence technology strategy by evaluating emerging tools and practices.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, database experience, cloud experience, open-source contributions, front-end framework experience, API development, testing, version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, AI-based coding tools, mentoring, and technical initiative leadership.
- Experience establishing coding standards and design patterns across teams is preferred.
