Responsibilities
- Build scalable, high-performance Java backend applications for institutional securities technology.
- Develop Spring Boot microservices with messaging integrations using Kafka, JMS, and RabbitMQ.
- Design and improve distributed systems, concurrency, performance, and scalability.
- Integrate LLMs and agentic AI workflows into production backend systems.
- Design multi-agent workflows involving orchestrators, subagents, tool calling, communication, memory, and guardrails.
- Support CI/CD, DevOps, production observability, agent-run tracing, latency management, and cost management.
- Apply RAG, vector database concepts, prompt engineering, evaluation workflows, and hallucination mitigation.
Requirements
- 8–16 years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Deep experience with Spring Boot, microservices, messaging integrations, SQL, concurrency, and distributed systems design.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience is generally expected for the role.
- Hands-on experience integrating OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or equivalent LLMs into production backend systems.
- Working knowledge of agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Spring AI, AutoGen, CrewAI, or Claude Agent SDK.
- Ability to design orchestrator/subagent patterns, agent-to-agent communication, tool/function calling, evaluation workflows, and autonomous-system guardrails.
- Python exposure for AI integration, scripting, or data pipeline use cases.
- Understanding of AI reliability concerns including hallucination mitigation, observability, latency, and cost management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Financial services or investment banking domain experience.
