Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable applications in a cloud-based environment.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliverables with product owners, architects, and senior engineers.
- Ensure solutions comply with architectural standards, security guidelines, and engineering best practices.
- Use AI-assisted development tools, prompt engineering, generative AI, coding assistants, and agent-based workflows to improve development productivity and quality.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and test automation.
- Monitor systems, respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation.
- Research emerging technologies and conduct proofs of concept to improve product performance and development efficiency.
- Maintain technical, design, implementation, and operational documentation.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, development workflows, and automation efforts.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, estimation, project planning, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, including Java 8 or higher.
- Understanding of Azure public cloud and cloud-native development; exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, relational databases, NoSQL databases, SQL, and data modeling.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL or Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra, Oracle, or similar databases.
- Experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor for coding, testing, documentation, debugging, and design.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Experience with TDD and BDD software development processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, debugging, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills, with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Preferred exposure to Terraform, Ansible, data pipelines, ETL processes, Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, and AI-assisted SDLC practices.
