Base Salary
$262k - $364k/yr
Responsibilities
- Establish the technical goals, direction, and strategy for Android and Pixel telephony, internet connectivity, and cellular innovation.
- Architect protocols, APIs, and algorithms that support current devices and upgrades to future Android versions.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions while ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of connectivity components.
- Collaborate with engineering, program management, product management, device manufacturers, carriers, and chipset vendors on connectivity initiatives.
- Drive internal AI transformation by rethinking how the organization builds, tests, and deploys software.
- Represent Android connectivity in industry alliances, contribute to next-generation wireless technology standards, and mentor engineers and emerging technical leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 7 years of experience with Android application development.
- 5 years of experience with software design and architecture, testing, and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience with internet and cellular connectivity, mobile, voice, and messaging networks or systems engineering, or operations.
- 5 years of experience in Android OS development.
- Preferred: 10 years of technical leadership in platform and product development within consumer electronics or connectivity domains.
- Preferred: 5 years in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Experience working with chipset partners, OEMs, carrier partners, the mobile industry ecosystem, 3GPP standards, and IETF connectivity standards.
Benefits
- US base pay is $262000 - $364000, plus a 25% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
