Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain ServiceNow configurations, customizations, workflows, UI policies, ACLs, and scripted components.
- Write and maintain server-side and client-side JavaScript, including Business Rules, Script Includes, Scheduled Jobs, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Workflow scripts.
- Build and support third-party integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Data Streams, and OAuth authentication.
- Support Software Asset Management processes including license reconciliation, publisher data feeds, entitlement management, true-up reporting, and custom SAM reporting.
- Maintain CMDB classes, configuration item relationships, reconciliation rules, and data quality for SAM and ITSM use cases.
- Configure email-based data import pipelines, entity profiles, transform pipelines, reusable actions, flows, subflows, and approval or notification automation.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, QA cycles, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, production support, and SLA-based remediation.
- Collaborate with consultants, architects, QA, business stakeholders, and client teams to translate requirements into technical designs and documentation.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, ideally including at least one full implementation or support engagement.
- Strong JavaScript scripting skills across ServiceNow server-side and client-side development.
- Understanding of the ServiceNow data model, tables, GlideRecord, GlideAjax, ACLs, and reference or relationship fields.
- Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, reusable flows, subflows, actions, REST/SOAP APIs, and data streams.
- Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, Mutual Auth, Update Sets, application scoping, and email-based data import pipelines.
- Understanding of CMDB classes, CI relationships, reconciliation rules, data quality, and SAM or asset lifecycle management.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- ServiceNow System Administrator certification is preferred, and additional CIS micro-certifications are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, independent working, collaboration, and communication skills.
