Base Salary
$149k - $238k/yr
Responsibilities
- Refine team responses to incidents by identifying patterns and implementing software fixes.
- Audit current systems to identify duplication and create a reliability-and-migration roadmap.
- Design interface contracts and invariant checks for team development.
- Promote a clear vision of quality software and align the team towards it.
- Mentor teammates to transition from writing working features to producing high-quality software.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and operating distributed systems in production.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Expertise in distributed systems with an operability-first mindset.
- Proven track record of designing self-governing systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to consider diverse perspectives.
- Comfort with taking smart risks to implement systemic changes.
- Experience in mentoring and growing other engineers.
