Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and optimize Azure Service Fabric platforms supporting critical manufacturing and supply chain applications.
- Develop scalable and fault-tolerant microservice architectures, including service orchestration and state management strategies.
- Monitor and tune fabric cluster performance using observability tools, metrics, tracing, and diagnostics.
- Configure security controls, identity management, access governance, authentication, and data protection for fabric services.
- Investigate fabric-related incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement durable corrective actions.
- Integrate fabric services with hybrid infrastructure, enterprise systems, data platforms, and automation solutions.
- Define deployment strategies, validation steps, release processes, and rollback procedures.
- Document environments, deployment patterns, and operational runbooks.
- Evaluate Azure Service Fabric and related cloud-native capabilities and recommend resilience improvements.
- Mentor peers and provide technical guidance on fabric patterns, microservices, and observability practices.
- Support production schedules and supply chain events during day-shift operational coverage.
Requirements
- Approximately 9–12 years of experience engineering complex distributed systems, including several years designing and operating Azure Service Fabric solutions.
- Advanced proficiency configuring fabric clusters, implementing reliable microservices, managing application lifecycles, and applying resilience patterns.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, inventory control, and supply chain logistics.
- Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, observability, metrics, tracing, and diagnostics for fabric platforms.
- Experience working in hybrid environments and collaborating with distributed enterprise teams.
- Knowledge of secure engineering practices, authentication models, and data protection principles.
- Experience supporting production and logistics systems in day-shift operational settings while meeting service-level expectations.
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer Associate, or equivalent cloud certification focused on distributed applications and microservices is required.
