Responsibilities
- Build technical partnerships with strategic hardware manufacturers, including connected audio product companies.
- Lead technical integration projects from planning through launch using Spotify's Core Playback SDK.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to align priorities and deliver partner experiences.
- Drive technical discussions, architecture reviews, workshops, and implementation planning.
- Write technical proposals, RFCs, and design documentation.
- Monitor project health, identify risks, and coordinate solutions across engineering teams.
- Investigate and resolve complex SDK, API, and integration challenges, contributing code when appropriate.
- Improve tools, processes, and developer experience for partners.
- Identify opportunities to simplify integrations and scale partner success across Spotify's hardware platform.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, partner engineering, developer relations, solutions engineering, or a similar technical role.
- Experience with software development, SDKs, APIs, distributed systems, or embedded technologies.
- Ability to read, understand, and contribute to production code while discussing technical architecture.
- Experience working across organizational boundaries with engineering teams and external partners.
- Experience with consumer electronics, connected devices, smart home products, audio platforms, or hardware certification is valuable.
- Experience writing technical specifications, architecture proposals, or RFCs is advantageous.
