Responsibilities
- Advise public-sector customers on secure, scalable, compliant, and cost-effective AWS solutions.
- Define implementation, migration, and transition architectures aligned with customer missions and compliance requirements.
- Remove technical blockers through deep dives, proofs of concept, knowledge transfer, and customer guidance.
- Support responses to Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals.
- Create and deliver presentations, product demonstrations, sample solutions, blog posts, whitepapers, and reference architectures.
- Partner with account managers, business development teams, and solution providers to support customer application and service migrations.
- Represent AWS at conferences, trade shows, and public-sector events while sharing best practices with the global Solutions Architecture community.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
- At least 4 years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
- At least 2 years of experience designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
- Preferred experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Preferred experience working with AWS technologies from a development and operations perspective.
- Preferred knowledge of cloud architecture.
- Strong technical communication, presentation, business acumen, and public-sector customer engagement skills.
