Base Salary
$65k - $99k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications, Web APIs, and batch applications.
- Document defects thoroughly and monitor and manage bug-tracking systems.
- Enter comprehensive test cases and results into the test case management system.
- Collaborate with software engineers, business analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Apply quality assurance methodologies and SDLC knowledge to identify risks and potential solution impacts.
- Ask probing questions, propose solutions, and perform other assigned duties while complying with company policies and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Four years of experience in manual or automated testing.
- Ability to identify software defects and challenge software quality effectively.
- Knowledge of the Gherkin test format.
- Previous exposure to user interface development, billing or payroll modules, or import/export data files is helpful.
- Strong problem-solving, creative thinking, self-direction, motivation, and willingness to stay current with industry trends.
