Base Salary
$195k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and optimize exabyte-scale data platforms and pipelines for LLMs, neural networks, RAG, and AI agent systems.
- Develop and deploy agentic workflows and agent-harnessing techniques for autonomous, data-driven security features.
- Build scalable, fault-tolerant, cost-effective, production-ready data solutions with strong performance, maintainability, and testing practices.
- Provide technical leadership in data modeling, normalization, semantic cataloging, MLOps, and DataOps for AI/ML workloads.
- Establish monitoring, observability, and zero-touch recovery practices for AI services.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of critical data services, including development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Mentor engineers, lead technical workshops and design reviews, and collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in computer science, data engineering, or a related STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of progressive data engineering or platform engineering experience, including at least 3 years architecting and building AI/ML or data science platforms at massive scale.
- Hands-on experience with LLM engineering, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, deployment, RAG, and agentic workflows.
- Experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems involving sharding, partitioning, and concurrency.
- Expert-level proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, Rust, or JVM technologies.
- Strong ability to write clean, performant, maintainable, and well-tested code and apply resilient engineering practices.
- Experience with AI-aided secure code development and using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Prior Staff-level engineering experience with technical leadership and mentorship capabilities.
- Cybersecurity, intelligence, or high-compliance industry experience and open-source contributions related to data or AI/ML are preferred.
