Base Salary
$246k - $339k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the CI/CD and configuration management architecture across the production fleet.
- Create templated operations for provisioning new production environments.
- Define reference architectures with performance profiles tuned to target cluster scale.
- Solve version skew and release cadence challenges across environments operating at different speeds.
- Establish standards for progressive delivery, canary deployments, automated rollbacks, and safe-by-default releases.
- Build paved paths that enable product teams to ship without requiring platform expertise.
- Own delivery end-to-end and improve pipeline reliability, speed, and predictability.
- Evolve the Internal Developer Portal and its surrounding self-service developer experience.
- Partner with Cloud Platform, Security, and Compliance on required delivery controls.
- Set technical direction across the organization and mentor Staff and Senior engineers.
- Embed AI tooling into delivery workflows to improve productivity.
Requirements
- Experience in platform engineering focused on CI/CD at companies with more than 250 engineers.
- Experience owning and operating CI/CD platforms at the administration and architecture level, including security, configuration, and enablement.
- Fluency in GitOps and declarative configuration at scale.
- Proven ability to design and operate large-scale delivery systems.
- Hands-on production-quality software development experience.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Experience with progressive delivery practices, including canary deployments and automated rollbacks.
- Passion for using AI to improve engineering velocity, quality, and developer experience.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence across teams.
- Preferred: experience standing up new production regions or isolated deployments end-to-end.
- Preferred: background in both product software engineering and platform engineering.
- Preferred: working knowledge of RBAC, OAuth, and compliance requirements including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
