Responsibilities
- Contribute to the strategy for unifying Stord’s product suite into composable shared services and extract duplicated capabilities into well-defined platform services.
- Build MCP integrations, shared skill libraries, automated feedback loops, type systems, test harnesses, linters, and pre-commit hooks for reliable agentic development.
- Develop internal developer tooling, golden paths, and scaffolding while measuring developer productivity and adoption.
- Serve as a technical resource for product teams integrating with platform services and collaborate with SRE on shared-service reliability concerns.
- Evaluate agentic development tools, establish engineering patterns, and improve infrastructure so agents can operate autonomously on meaningful work.
- Own problems end-to-end, establish ownership patterns for shared services, and translate architectural direction into reliable working software.
Requirements
- Meaningful experience at the infrastructure or platform layer with strong judgment about maintainable codebases and developer-platform adoption.
- Hands-on experience with agentic development in production-adjacent workflows, including understanding the infrastructure changes needed to improve agent reliability.
- Experience using Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or an equivalent CLI-native development environment as a primary workflow.
- Ability to define problems, ship and measure solutions, operate with high agency, and work effectively without a detailed brief.
- Strong communication, ownership, collaboration, production mindset, learning agility, and ability to use AI coding tools while maintaining quality and technical judgment.
- Preferred experience with Elixir/Phoenix, TypeScript, Kafka, GCP, internal developer platforms, workflow orchestration tools, open source or agentic developer communities, authentication and authorization systems, event-driven architectures, Terraform, logistics or supply chain software, and M&A integration.
Benefits
- High autonomy and organization-wide technical leverage while building a new platform function from scratch.
- Direct visibility with engineering and product leadership and meaningful equity.
- Organizational support and visibility through a company-level AI investment mandate.
