Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise EDI/B2B integration architectures using OpenText Trading Grid/GXS, Seeburger BIS, and SAP.
- Define real-time, batch, and event-driven integration patterns and build reusable frameworks for trading-partner onboarding and message flows.
- Oversee development, deployment, mapping, transformation, validation, and monitoring of X12, EDIFACT, and XML EDI transactions.
- Integrate EDI systems with SAP and Oracle ERP platforms, including IDoc processing, error handling, and monitoring.
- Lead platform upgrades, implementations, support activities, and performance, scalability, and cost optimization efforts.
- Define EDI standards, naming conventions, governance models, secure communication protocols, and data protection strategies.
- Lead trading-partner onboarding, testing, certification, and end-to-end process alignment with internal teams and vendors.
- Provide L2/L3/L4 production support, incident-resolution leadership, transaction-flow monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Mentor EDI developers and analysts, establish reusable best practices, and drive modernization initiatives.
- Gather requirements, produce functional and technical specifications, coordinate deliverables, and advise on EDI and integration solutions.
- Deliver training materials and educate business representatives on EDI topics and business initiatives.
- Participate in the weekly production support rotation and support IT portfolio prioritization and governance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of EDI/B2B integration experience and 5 years in an architect or lead role.
- At least 7–10 years of EDI design, development, implementation, and production-support experience involving manufacturing customer and vendor transaction sets.
- Strong experience with OpenText Trading Grid/GXS, Seeburger BIS, and SAP EDI integration using IDocs and ALE.
- Deep knowledge of ANSI X12 transaction sets, including 850, 810, 856, and 997, and EDIFACT messages.
- Experience with AS2, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP/S, and APIs.
- Functional knowledge of ERP sales and distribution processes, including orders, deliveries, shipments, and scheduling agreements.
- Strong communication, analysis, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Manufacturing experience is preferred, and automotive experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of material, quality, and financial management is a plus.
- Preferred experience includes Azure Integration Services, AWS, SAP CPI, EDI managed-services environments, APIs, microservices integration, and SAP S/4HANA integration.
