Application Developer, State Street Investment Management, Officer
State StreetResponsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, enhance, and maintain enterprise-scale applications for Global Funds Management.
- Build data-driven applications using Java, Spring Boot, Python, SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Redshift.
- Design and deploy applications on Amazon Web Services and support environments spanning Development, QA, UAT, Production, and Disaster Recovery.
- Collaborate with distributed technology teams, business stakeholders, product teams, and technology partners.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for business-critical functions.
- Perform unit testing, automation testing, and manual test execution.
- Contribute to DevOps practices, automated CI/CD pipelines, and environment setup.
- Explore AI-assisted engineering tools and frameworks and share knowledge with colleagues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 2–3 years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise applications with Java and/or Python, Spring Boot, and microservices.
- Experience designing and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services.
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases.
- Strong object-oriented design expertise, including design patterns, SOLID principles, and modern engineering practices.
- Practical experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot is advantageous.
