Responsibilities
- Develop LLM and traditional machine-learning systems for investment research.
- Build search ranking algorithms using user interaction, semantic, and PostgreSQL-based text-search signals.
- Create systems that iteratively improve prompts and outputs using production signals or human labels.
- Develop and open-source benchmarks for evaluating LLM output on investment-research tasks.
- Build agentic entity-deduplication and entity-resolution systems using application signals and external data sources.
- Create custom knowledge graphs from unstructured interview data and use agentic infrastructure to enrich and rebalance derived outputs.
- Collaborate with external partners and contribute to product decisions, direction, and prioritization.
- Help shape engineering culture and grow the team.
Requirements
- Based in NYC.
- Experience building LLM systems from the ground up in a product-focused organization, including data gathering, logging, and prompt optimization.
- Strong product judgment and willingness to contribute to product decisions, direction, and prioritization.
- Strong communication skills and interest in a client-facing role.
- Ability to explain AI/ML problems clearly to non-technical audiences and translate recommendations into testable experiments.
- Highly organized, action-oriented, and experienced delivering large projects end to end with senior stakeholders.
- Interest in helping build an AI/ML engineering team.
