Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall systems development technical lifecycle for team services.
  • Build and scale distributed data services, clusters, ingestion automation, and self-service data management tools.
  • Develop real-time search, analysis, metrics, predictive monitoring, and custom log analytics plugins.
  • Maintain integrations for LogSynth MCP, RAG knowledge bases, and service APIs.
  • Define software unit, functional, and performance testing strategies and lead code reviews.
  • Apply security and cloud-optimized architectural practices to new and existing data services.
  • Participate in operational excellence activities, cross-functional collaboration, and an on-call rotation of up to one week every four weeks.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming in at least one software programming language, with proficiency in modern languages such as Python, TypeScript, or Go.
  • Experience supporting or operating highly available distributed systems that extract, ingest, and process large data sets.
  • Experience designing, building, operating, and managing large-scale distributed systems or web services.
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices across coding, reviews, source management, builds, testing, and operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred: 3 or more years across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Preferred: experience with observability and log analytics platforms such as Splunk or OpenSearch.
