Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and act as an escalation point for technical challenges.
- Design, develop, test, debug, document, and deploy Dodeca applications and upgrades.
- Own end-to-end Dodeca solution delivery, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, production deployment, maintenance, and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain Dodeca Views, Worksheets, Selectors, Dashboards, parameterized solutions, and Excel-based or custom UI-driven reports.
- Integrate Dodeca with Essbase cubes, relational databases, file-based sources, and metadata management systems.
- Partner with finance and business users to translate reporting requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Provide on-call and production support and troubleshoot issues across application, data, and infrastructure layers.
- Ensure solutions meet quality, performance, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead design reviews, influence technical architecture decisions, conduct code and design reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience through work, training, military experience, or education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting Dodeca applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with Dodeca, including performance tuning, usability optimization, Essbase integration, view and selector development, application design, and configuration.
- In-depth Oracle Essbase ASO/BSO experience, including outline design, dimensional modeling, calculation scripts, aggregations, MaxL scripting, security, and performance tuning.
- Understanding of multidimensional financial modeling, OLAP concepts, star schema design, and relational database modeling.
- Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases and data from Essbase cubes, relational databases, file-based sources, and metadata management systems such as DRM.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting and job scheduling tools such as CA Autosys.
- Proven delivery of financial reporting and analytical solutions for finance or accounting teams.
- Experience with Python, BPA Automate, Oracle EPM tools, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, release management, financial services, SOX controls, audit processes, or regulatory compliance is preferred.
- Ability to independently lead complex technical initiatives, resolve production issues, communicate effectively, collaborate with finance, product, QA, and infrastructure teams, and mentor junior staff.
