Responsibilities
- Design, integrate, and implement secure network and cloud architectures aligned with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
- Secure AWS cloud and hybrid architectures, including IAM, VPC networking, containers, serverless services, and Zero Trust controls.
- Define cybersecurity requirements and implement secure coding and application security controls across SDLC and Agile processes.
- Automate security controls using infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, and CI/CD platforms.
- Implement cloud-native logging, monitoring, detection, incident response, and automated remediation capabilities.
- Support compliance, risk management, secure baseline management, control implementation, and remediation tracking.
- Collaborate with systems integration, testing, architecture, and engineering teams to validate security controls and maintain documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of relevant experience, a graduate degree and at least two years of relevant experience, or eight or more years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Hands-on AWS security experience, including IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, VPC architecture, and encryption in transit and at rest.
- Experience in network and platform security and in securing containerized environments.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices within CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong scripting and automation skills with Python, Bash, and PowerShell, plus Git-based version control experience.
- Preferred qualifications include security automation, continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, compliance validation, secure architecture, networking, Zero Trust, SASE, regulated-industry security, NIST and FISMA compliance, threat modeling, risk analysis, and relevant security certifications.
