Responsibilities
- Build production user interfaces in TypeScript and React from UX designs, including model configuration, parameter forms, validation, dashboards, tables, drill-downs, and map-based risk visualizations.
- Create reusable typed components, contribute to the component library and design system, and ensure responsive behavior, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Design and implement REST APIs and services in TypeScript and Python for model configuration, execution, results retrieval, orchestration, persistence, and recovery.
- Build asynchronous and event-driven execution workflows with long-running jobs, status tracking, partial results, and failure handling.
- Design database schemas and queries and integrate application services with Databricks and Azure capabilities such as model-serving endpoints, storage, functions, API management, and container-hosted services.
- Build customer model deployment, configuration, data-mapping, results-integration, isolation, and governance workflows across the front end and back end.
- Write automated component, interaction, unit, integration, and API tests; monitor and optimize application and API performance.
- Implement authentication, authorization, tenant isolation, vulnerability remediation, and deployment automation, and maintain accurate OpenAPI documentation.
- Collaborate with Design, Data, Model, Product, QA, and Engineering teams on requirements, architecture, reviews, standards, and release readiness.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional full-stack software development experience.
- Strong TypeScript and React experience, including hooks, state management, component composition, and performance optimization for data-heavy interfaces.
- Experience implementing UX designs faithfully with attention to spacing, component states, transitions, and interaction details.
- Strong TypeScript and Python back-end experience, including building and consuming production REST APIs.
- Proficiency in relational database design, query development, and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider; Azure is preferred, including compute, storage, API gateway, secrets management, and monitoring services.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, queues, or publish/subscribe systems for asynchronous processing.
- Experience with modern front-end tooling, build systems, package management, and component or end-to-end testing frameworks.
- Proficiency with Git and branch-based development workflows.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment automation.
- Experience with vulnerability management and remediation, dependency scanning, and security patching.
- Preferred experience includes analytical interfaces, mapping and geospatial visualization, charting, design systems, OpenAPI or Swagger, Databricks, Apache Spark, machine-learning model-serving endpoints, containers, multi-tenant SaaS, and AI-assisted or agentic coding tools.
- Nice-to-have experience includes asset integrity or related domains, auditable and traceable software, safe third-party plugin frameworks, WCAG accessibility, and shared component libraries.
