Responsibilities
- Independently deliver major product features and take full ownership of their quality and successful delivery.
- Perform complex programming, debugging, architecture reviews, high-level design work, and proof-of-concept development.
- Review peer code, establish maintainable coding standards, address technical debt and bottlenecks, and drive systemic improvements.
- Resolve cross-functional dependencies and align engineering deliverables with organizational strategy and business objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers, coach through pairing and code examples, conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, and lead technical workshops.
- Participate in on-call rotation, retrospectives, test activities, post-mortems, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
- Lead brainstorming and strategic technical initiatives and provide direction on complex technical challenges.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with React, Golang, Python, and AWS.
- Comprehensive knowledge of software development practices and strong coding and debugging expertise.
- Ability to deliver complex product features with little or no guidance and resolve dependencies across teams.
- Understanding of design patterns, anti-patterns, architecture, high-level design, technical debt, and systemic engineering challenges.
- Technical, product, and domain expertise with an understanding of the competitive market landscape.
- Experience mentoring engineers, leading cross-functional initiatives, facilitating technical workshops, and collaborating with PM and PgM stakeholders.
- Candidates must be based in Bangalore.
- Must comply with information security policies and may need to satisfy background verification and applicable export-control requirements.
