Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate ASIC device drivers and test cases in C/C++ using Zephyr RTOS or equivalent Linux kernel and driver development.
- Develop Python framework and infrastructure components for test execution and automation.
- Assess and visualize ASIC test coverage and identify quality improvement opportunities.
- Conduct in-lab testing and proof-of-concept work, including platform management and test instrument setup.
- Contribute to reusable validation frameworks and test cases and improve validation methodologies.
- Collaborate with ASIC architects and distributed engineering teams to define coverage plans and resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of development experience with C/C++ and Python focused on hardware validation and embedded software.
- Experience with source code management tools such as Git and with IDEs.
- Ability to understand and articulate hardware architecture, data paths, and IP functions.
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and bash scripting.
- Knowledge of validation principles and test coverage strategies.
- Ability to read and write technical specifications and learn new technical concepts quickly.
- Experience working across geographies and cross-functional teams, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, coding, and attention-to-detail abilities, with the ability to work independently through ambiguity.
- Preferred: experience leveraging AI for validation coverage analysis and code development efficiency.
- Preferred: exposure to network communications, hardware emulators, validation platforms, protocol or logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
