Responsibilities
- Design and develop automation code and scalable automated test suites for trading applications.
- Define test strategies, acceptance criteria, automation plans, and quality coverage with product managers, engineers, and QA engineers.
- Test APIs and web services, validate application components, generate and analyze data, and identify defects for repair and regression testing.
- Troubleshoot test environments and test data, debug automation code, and improve test infrastructure and coverage.
- Act as technical lead for the automation team by setting best practices and establishing automation policies.
- Lead and mentor engineers in automation best practices and participate in code reviews.
- Develop AI tools to expedite software development and identify process optimization opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in software quality assurance testing, including quality processes, tools, and metrics.
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks, framework architecture, design, development, and scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Python, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience testing APIs and web services, with familiarity with Unix/Linux and Windows.
- Experience with SQL and AI tools for software development.
- Preferred experience with software build tools, CI/CD integrations, deployment processes, code quality checking tools, and source control software.
- Ability to work independently, learn new technologies, collaborate effectively, and communicate clearly.
