Responsibilities
- Implement and evolve Legion’s enterprise application as a frontend software engineer.
- Write secure, efficient, enterprise-quality code with attention to scalability and performance.
- Plan and conduct architecture sessions and design and build application enhancements and extensions.
- Create plans for integration and unit testing.
- Develop and maintain long-lasting customer relationships while helping multiple customers simultaneously.
- Set and manage customer expectations, understand customer organizations and cultures, and support adoption of Legion’s solutions.
- Handle difficult situations calmly and structure communication for internal and external customers.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience working with AngularJS and React.
- AngularJS and React experience is essential; experience upgrading from AngularJS to React is preferred.
- Experience with CSS3, HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, and cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MySQL, and JSON is helpful.
- Experience with containerization and cloud deployments is desirable; the application runs on AWS.
- Experience building software products and managing complexity across multiple configurations in a cloud-based product rather than consulting or webpage/portal development.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field.
- Ability to operate in an environment with limited resources.
- Track record of building positive relationships with peers.
- Ability to support multiple customers, manage expectations, communicate across organizational levels, and adapt to changing needs.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations as required and participate in an on-call rotation.
