Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain business-critical frontend and backend applications.
- Build APIs, integration services, and user-facing functionality for liquidity and information management solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions and make technical design contributions.
- Own services across their lifecycle, including production operations, monitoring, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and on-call support.
- Improve observability, alerting, reliability, resilience, automation, and self-healing capabilities.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly for development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and knowledge discovery.
- Maintain compliance with technology governance, risk management, security, DORA, resilience, disaster recovery, and service continuity requirements.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, DevOps engineers, stakeholders, and international teams.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to technical communities, engineering standards, and modernization initiatives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience using a JVM language and related technologies.
- Completed bachelor's or master's-level education in Computer Science, Cybernetics, Software Engineering, Financial Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Hands-on experience with Java 21, Spring Boot 4.x, the Spring Framework suite, JPA/Hibernate, REST and gRPC APIs, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, accessibility, security, and frontend frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and middleware such as JMS and Kafka.
- Knowledge of relational databases including MS SQL Server or Oracle, including database model tuning and data-intensive operations.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Maven, Confluence, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps-related lifecycle activities.
- Experience writing automated tests with JUnit, Mockito, JGiven, Cucumber, or Karate, plus knowledge of Playwright for web testing and automation.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, HTTP, messaging, RPCs, Domain-Driven Design, and software architecture patterns such as monoliths and microservices.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, communication, independent decision-making, and cross-border collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes JMeter or Gatling, application metrics and monitoring, profiling, Elastic Stack, IT security concepts, and Kotlin or other programming languages.
- Advanced English proficiency is required.
