Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the core robotics software stack for an industrial robotic work cell.
  • Develop and optimize motion planning, trajectory generation, and control algorithms.
  • Integrate cameras, force/torque sensors, and LiDAR into real-time control loops.
  • Implement industrial safety concepts and fail-safe behaviors.
  • Lead on-site testing, calibration, and commissioning of the robotic system.
  • Drive architecture decisions and establish engineering best practices across the team.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of robotics engineering experience working with real robot hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial or collaborative robot arms, end-of-arm tooling, and associated sensors.
  • Strong knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, and control theory.
  • Proficiency in C++ and/or Python; familiarity with ROS 2 is a plus.
  • Experience with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks or CATIA.
  • Experience integrating vision and force/torque sensors into real-time control loops.
  • Experience deploying robotic systems in real industrial production environments.
  • Background in surface finishing, welding, or coating automation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with EtherCAT or OPC-UA is preferred.
  • Eligibility to work in Germany and ability to work on-site in Munich five days per week.
  • Fluent English is required; German is a plus.
  • Ability to work with high ownership and broad architectural scope in a fast-moving startup.

Benefits

  • Estimated annual cash compensation of €75,000 to €110,000, plus meaningful equity participation.
  • On-site role in Munich, Germany, five days per week; remote work is not available.
