Base Salary
$172k - $287k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and document embedded and firmware software architectures for iCGM products, tracing requirements through manufacturing.
- Collaborate with hardware teams on software-hardware integration, including driver development, battery management, and memory optimization.
- Lead technical design decisions, define module interfaces, conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and mentor engineering teams and individuals.
- Perform system-level performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization for reliability, security, and scalability.
- Ensure software meets FDA standards, safety regulations, and security requirements.
- Present technical positions clearly to audiences ranging from engineers to executives.
Requirements
- Substantial experience in embedded systems design, development, and debugging.
- Expertise in C/C++ and real-time operating systems.
- Deep understanding of microprocessor and microcontroller architecture, including ARM Cortex.
- Experience with low-level peripheral drivers and communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and BLE.
- Strong proficiency in software architectural design patterns, modularity, and reusability.
- Typically, a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 15+ years of related experience, a master’s degree with 10+ years of equivalent industry experience, or a PhD with 7+ years of experience.
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
