Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop software for a converged computing and storage platform.
- Design solutions for complex distributed systems and customer requirements.
- Improve the performance, scalability, and resiliency of distributed storage systems.
- Collaborate with development, test, documentation, and product management teams to deliver high-quality products.
- Engage with customers and support teams to address production issues.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building distributed systems.
- Strong programming ability in one or more of C, C++, or Java.
- Deep understanding of UNIX/Linux.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred experience with file systems, operating systems, database back ends, cloud technologies, Hadoop, MapReduce, Cassandra, Zookeeper, and other large-scale distributed systems.
- Preferred familiarity with operating system internals, distributed data management, clustered fault-tolerant systems, x86 architecture, virtualization, and storage management.
- Preferred experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or Xen, with VMware preferred.
