Base Salary
$144k - $169k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction for complex, cross-cutting initiatives.
- Lead architectural design for medium-to-large initiatives.
- Define and evolve shared platform patterns and API contracts.
- Anticipate medium-term architectural risks and work proactively.
- Build and evolve foundational platform capabilities across the device ecosystem.
- Drive end-to-end delivery of large, multi-engineer initiatives.
- Establish high standards for production readiness and reliability.
- Build reusable frameworks and components for the team.
- Drive technical alignment across teams with shared dependencies.
- Contribute to incident response and operational improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Proven experience leading large, multi-engineer technical initiatives.
- Strong architectural judgment and ability to define reusable patterns.
- Deep proficiency in backend platform engineering and distributed systems.
- Experience in environments transitioning to independently deployable services.
- Ability to anticipate medium-term technical problems proactively.
- Active participation in engineering leadership initiatives.
- Credibility in influencing technical direction alongside architects.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows.
