Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend systems and architecture for Coupang Pay.
- Develop fraud detection systems and other technologies that securely protect customer data.
- Build systems that maintain continuous financial services while protecting customer information.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across systems to design solutions that comply with laws and regulations.
- Identify and share engineering best practices with the team.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience designing and implementing backend architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related technical field.
- Sophisticated knowledge of Java, Spring, and MSA environments.
- Experience resolving issues arising from organizational growth and increasingly complex systems.
- Strong coding skills in object-oriented programming and scripting languages.
- Preferred: fintech software development experience and experience with security- or compliance-related systems.
- Preferred: strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, messaging services, API Gateway, and Service Mesh.
- Preferred: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Preferred: ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-changing environment.
