Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable Golang backend services for UniFi Identity user and administrator management.
- Implement secure APIs for authentication, authorization, account provisioning, and endpoint interaction.
- Build identity endpoint features including secure login, session management, and device trust.
- Collaborate with frontend, mobile, security, and Cloud teams on end-to-end functionality.
- Maintain data models for identities, roles, permissions, and audit logs using relational databases.
- Improve backend system security, privacy, compliance, performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of production experience developing backend systems with Golang.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design and query optimization.
- Strong understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, SSO, and RBAC authentication and authorization protocols.
- Proficiency developing and maintaining backend APIs.
- Familiarity with data modeling, session management, and secure user data handling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Required proficiency with AI development environments such as Cursor and Claude Code and AI development techniques such as Spec-Driven Development.
- Preferred experience with IAM platforms or features, LDAP, Active Directory, SCIM integrations, Zero Trust, endpoint security, PKI, certificate-based authentication, Kafka, NATS, compliance and auditing, Unix/Linux systems, system-level debugging, and performance tuning.
