Responsibilities
- Develop clean, functional software and unit tests while leading high-quality feature design and delivery.
- Debug and resolve complex software issues in development and production environments.
- Create technical design documentation and contribute to end-user documentation.
- Lead or contribute to projects from technical design through completion, including coordination, estimation, milestone tracking, and stakeholder updates.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, threat modeling, and reliability improvements.
- Monitor production systems, serve as an escalation point for on-call issues, and lead postmortems and root-cause analysis.
- Identify software lifecycle and engineering process improvements and contribute to product roadmaps.
- Mentor junior engineers and support colleagues through code reviews, documentation, presentations, and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with design, product management, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop customer-focused solutions and improve product integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of related experience, or master’s degree plus 4 years, or PhD plus 1 year.
- Solid conceptual and practical knowledge in the primary technical job family and knowledge of related technical job families.
- Experience working with a range of technologies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and act as a resource for less-experienced colleagues.
- Experience leading features or projects, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and mentoring engineers is required by the described scope.
