Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, scalable software solutions for data protection and recovery.
- Write high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Lead responsible adoption and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools for coding, code review, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Identify and automate recurring issue remediation to improve application and system stability.
- Evaluate vendor, startup, internal, and architectural solutions for applicability within existing systems and information architecture.
- Coordinate collaboration and alignment across technology teams.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python, and experience with Jules/Jenkins deployment.
- Experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, security, and compliant engineering adoption.
- Proficiency across the software development lifecycle and advanced understanding of application resiliency and security.
- Backend API development experience using FastAPI.
- Advanced knowledge of NoSQL databases, including MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of storage, compute, and network infrastructure technologies.
