Responsibilities
- Design and build ABAP Cloud applications that embed LLM-driven intelligence into SAP business processes.
- Implement AI-enabled SAP extensions using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model, event-driven patterns, APIs, and cloud-native architectures.
- Develop clean, testable ABAP code integrated with AI services and enterprise APIs.
- Implement agentic workflows involving tools, planners, memory, orchestration, and evaluation loops.
- Integrate LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines with ABAP Cloud services for contextual responses.
- Design prompt templates, grounding strategies, fallback logic, and safety boundaries for enterprise SAP use cases.
- Build retrieval pipelines using SAP and non-SAP data sources, including business objects, CDS views, documents, and events.
- Implement chunking, indexing, embeddings, and context assembly for production RAG scenarios.
- Create evaluation frameworks, authorization controls, data-privacy safeguards, error handling, telemetry, logging, and failure analysis.
- Prototype rapidly, demonstrate solutions, incorporate business feedback, and scale AI prototypes into secure enterprise SAP systems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Required expertise in SAP ABAP Cloud.
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs and AI services into applications.
- Experience building RAG pipelines, embeddings, and contextual retrieval.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including software design and testing.
- Ability to translate business problems into AI-enabled SAP solutions.
- Experience with SAP BTP, eventing, APIs, and cloud services is beneficial.
- Familiarity with agent frameworks or custom orchestration logic is beneficial.
- Exposure to vector databases, search, or semantic indexing is beneficial.
- Knowledge of enterprise security, authorization, and compliance patterns is beneficial.
