Base Salary
$160k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Perform hazard identification and risk assessments on autonomous software architecture.
- Derive and specify functional and technical safety requirements for supervised and unsupervised autonomy.
- Collaborate with systems, software, robotics, hardware, and test teams to ensure safety requirements are integrated.
- Assist in building safety case artifacts and verification evidence for airport deployment.
- Conduct software hazard and safety analyses per ISO 26262-6 and SOTIF.
- Review safety-critical C++/Python code to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on safety engineering experience in autonomous vehicles or related fields.
- Background in autonomous driving systems or mobile robotics.
- Ability to work under the mentorship of a Principal Safety Engineer in an agile team.
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of software development or safety experience in C++, Python, or ROS/ROS2.
- Deep understanding of software safety lifecycles and testing strategies.
