Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, development, and operation of Lumina’s agentic AI platform, including agent orchestration, retrieval systems, MCP integrations, Python services, APIs, embedded agents, Slack and Microsoft Teams experiences, and React applications.
- Drive scalability, reliability, observability, performance, security scanning, and incident response across Azure Kubernetes Service and associated platform tooling.
- Own enterprise knowledge ingestion and retrieval, including change data capture, content processing, vectorization, multimodal content, knowledge evaluation, source scoring, and retrieval optimization.
- Establish engineering standards for development, testing, code reviews, documentation, production readiness, governance, credential management, access controls, and compliance.
- Lead, coach, and develop engineers and data scientists through performance management, career development, goal setting, mentorship, and stakeholder partnership.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience developing and supporting production applications, including Python services, distributed systems, and data-intensive platforms.
- At least 4 years building cloud-native solutions using public cloud platforms, Azure, Kubernetes, containerized microservices, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based development, and modern DevOps practices.
- At least 3 years developing full-stack applications with JavaScript, React, API design, authentication, authorization, and enterprise identity technologies such as SSO, OAuth2, OIDC, or Azure Entra ID.
- At least 2 years delivering production AI/ML solutions using large language models, RAG, vector databases, agent frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph, enterprise knowledge repositories, and MongoDB Atlas Vector Search or comparable technologies.
- At least 1 year supporting LangGraph-based multi-agent orchestration, tool routing, agent workflow design, MCP integrations, and production agentic AI platforms.
- Demonstrated engineering leadership as a people manager, technical lead, or senior individual contributor with accountability for technical outcomes, delivery, mentoring, and talent development.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience; a high school diploma/GED plus 4 years of relevant experience is also accepted.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, MCP server and client development, enterprise tool integrations, SaaS API automation, retrieval governance, document-level security, access controls, evaluation frameworks, retrieval metrics, model quality assessment, AI observability, Databricks, Delta Lake, BigQuery, natural language-to-SQL, inference optimization, prompt engineering, model routing, caching, or regulated-industry experience.
