Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise-grade Android applications.
- Build Android interfaces using Jetpack Compose and XML UI with modern mobile architecture.
- Implement integrations with REST APIs, JSON, GraphQL, Firebase services, and backend platforms.
- Develop application data and authentication features using Room, SQLite, DataStore, OAuth 2.0, JWT, Keystore, and biometric authentication.
- Write and maintain automated unit and UI tests using JUnit, Espresso, and Mockito.
- Support CI/CD automation and release workflows using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Fastlane, and Gradle.
- Debug applications, profile and optimize performance, and apply security and accessibility best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Integrate AI-enabled capabilities and LLM-powered APIs into Android applications when applicable.
Requirements
- Expert-level Kotlin skills and good understanding of Java.
- Strong experience with Android SDK, Jetpack, Android Studio, Jetpack Compose, and XML UI.
- Proficiency with MVVM, Clean Architecture, dependency injection using Hilt or Dagger, Coroutines, and Flow.
- Experience with Room, SQLite, DataStore, Retrofit, OkHttp, REST APIs, and JSON; GraphQL experience is preferred.
- Experience with Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and FCM.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, Keystore, and biometric authentication.
- Experience with Git and repository platforms including GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Experience with Gradle, JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Fastlane.
- Experience delivering enterprise mobile applications and mentoring engineers.
- Preferred experience with Google Maps, CameraX, WorkManager, push notifications, offline-first design, accessibility, performance profiling, AWS or Azure backend integrations, GitHub Copilot, LLM-powered APIs, and prompt engineering.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical thinking, leadership, mentoring, cross-functional collaboration, and Agile/Scrum skills.
