Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, Tech Leads, and Product Managers to understand architecture, workflows, and feature implementation.
- Develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases for new and existing functionality.
- Execute functional, integration, exploratory, and regression testing.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and UI, API, and end-to-end test suites.
- Perform API validation and automation testing for microservices and distributed applications.
- Identify, document, troubleshoot, and track defects through resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
- Improve automation coverage, test execution efficiency, product testability, and release confidence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and automated testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Experience testing REST and SOAP web service APIs.
- Knowledge of Java and SQL, relational databases, and Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience with Git, Jira, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar engineering tools.
- Understanding of test automation architecture and framework design.
- Preferred experience with cloud-native and microservices-based applications, event-driven systems, message brokers, Docker, containerized applications, performance, scalability, or reliability testing.
- Experience in IoT, AMI, utility, energy, or telecommunications domains is preferred.
